Taproom FAQS

Do you give tours?

No we don’t. Our Solana Beach location is where our brewhouse is located which opens up onto our outdoor patio. You can see our brewers at work and all of our tanks while enjoying a pint out back. If you are lucky, maybe you can ask one of the brewers some questions while they are in action.

Are dog, kid, and cat friendly?

Yes! We love all furry creatures and kids. Dog treats are generously given out to all pups at the bar and we have a line of dog items available for purchase. All pets must be kept on leash and owners must be mindful of their dog in relation to other dogs and guests. Kids are welcome during all opening hours.

Why do some locations not have seating?

Since we are tasting rooms and not restaurants, there are different rules regarding seating options. We also love to see people moving around and mingling with new friends!

Why do you close at 10pm?

Tasting rooms have different licensing that requires them to close earlier than bars or restaurants in our communities. We ask that you respect this hard close at 10pm and arrive early enough to purchase and finish your beer before 10pm.

Do you have wine or spirits?

We are a brewery and therefore in California we are only allowed to serve what we produce. We are not a licensed brewpub so unfortunately we are not able to serve other beer, wine, or spirits. We can also not allow you to bring in outside alcoholic drinks. However, we do produce our own line of hard seltzers which are 1 gram of sugar, gluten free, and delicious!

Are you 21 and up?

No! We are open to all ages during all hours of operation but everyone in your group will be carded at the bar when beer is being purchased.

Do you have food trucks or a kitchen?

Our Solana Beach location has food trucks Thursday-Saturday. Please check the Solana Beach page to find out more info on rotating food trucks. At all locations you are always welcome to bring in outside food.

Can I host a private event in your space?

Unfortunately we do not close down our tasting rooms for private events. We will accommodate large groups by marking off part of the tasting room in advance for you. Please fill out the event request form to tell us a little more about your event.

Do you take reservations?

We do not take reservations and all barrels are first come first serve. Our tasting rooms are casual environments where we encourage you to meet friends for a drink, meet new people in your community, and attend our awesome events.

Beer FAQs

Are your beers gluten reduced?

Yes! We use an enzyme called Clarity-Ferm, which significantly reduces the gluten content in beers made with barley and wheat during fermentation. A Clarity-Ferm treated beer made from barley or wheat usually tests below 20 ppm of gluten, the current international standard for gluten free. All of our beers are tested before releasing.

Are your beers vegan?

Yes! No animal by-product ingredients or enzymes are used in our brewing processes. If a beer is ever released otherwise, it will be noted in the tap rooms and our beertenders will be informed.

Can I order kegs?

We are not selling kegs to the public at this time due to limited availability. You can always email beer@culturebrewingco.com to see if there is any exception.

Do you distribute kegs to offsite accounts or is your beer in any stores?

No, we have streamlined our brewery to meet the demands for our beer in our own tasting rooms. We love that you have to visit our tasting rooms and become part of our community in order to purchase and try our beers.

Do you fill other brewery’s growlers?

Yes! We will fill any outside growler container with our beers excluding the nitro beers. Legally, we will have to add a Culture Brewing Co sticker over any other logos and include a label for the beer after soaking the vessel in sanitizer.

Other FAQs

Do you have any employment opportunities?

Though we may not have any job postings at the moment, we are always actively accepting resumes for production and serving staff. Please send all inquiries to beer@culturebrewingco.com.

I would like Culture to donate to my event, what is the process?

Please submit any requests to beer@culturebrewingco.com.

What do you do to give back to the community?

We love giving back to the communities we are a part of and our cities at large. We have a monthly rotating art program where we showcase a new local artist each month at all three tasting rooms. If you would like to be a featured artist, please reach out to whitney@culturebrewingco.com. Additionally, we regularly partner with different not-for-profit organizations hosting events monthly in our spaces. Please check out the community outreach page for past collaborations. We also host DIY events, pop up market shops with local artisans, athletic events, and movie premieres for the skate and surf industries. You can find these on our tasting room calendars.

What are your COVID precautions?

We are currently operating on the honor system that all patrons who are not vaccinated continue to wear a mask while moving around the tasting room. We are daily taking all employee temperatures, disinfecting the bar and commonly used surfaces, all staff are required to wear masks, and hand sanitizer is readily available. Please continue to social distance while in line and where possible. We ask that if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID or are presenting any symptoms that you kindly wait to visit our tasting rooms to drink our delicious beer. Employees are being held to the same standards.

At our Manhattan Beach tasting room, a COVID vaccination is required to consume any products onsite inside. You will be asked for verification of your vaccination along with your ID before being served. This is a Los Angeles County health mandate.

Code of Conduct:

Culture is dedicated to serving beer responsibly. We do not tolerate abusive, offensive, or harassing behavior from both our staff or customers and any breach of conduct will result in immediate removal from the premises. If you have witnessed something in our tasting rooms, please reach out to whitney@culturebrewingco.com.
